Jackson, Ryan[jackson.ryan@epa.gov] Scott Lane Fri 11/3/2017 5:53:47 PM Speaking invitation - Administrator Pruitt
Hi Ryan,
I have a client, the National Truck and Equipment Association (NTEA, who would like to invite EPA Administrator Pruitt to speak at their national convention in March, 2018. NTEA's membership comprises small motor vehicle manufacturers that make vocational work trucks. The national convention will be held in Indianapolis, IN.
NTEA would like to find out if this is something that the EPA Administrator would be interested in. What advice should I provide them on how to proceed?
Scott

I thought I'd try a more direct approach to follow in the footsteps of my predecessors and introduce myself. Hopefully by now you've had an opportunity to settle into the cadence of the role and I wanted to see if your schedule would allow time for us to meet in person. I've recently started the next chapter of my career at a law firm in DC so my schedule is currently pretty flexible except for some occasional travel. Please let me know if there are a few dates and times that work best for you.

This is very kind and helpful of you, Ryan.
Hi Ed! It'd be terrific if we could set up a time for a brief phone call? I'm humbled at the opportunity to join the team in Region 7 and can't wait to get started. I'm sure you can teach me a lot! Please let me know your contact info and I will have my Assistant Holly reach out to arrange a call.

Cathy and Ed, I wanted to introduce the both of you.
Ed will be great to work with an prepare for Cathy's arrival at EPA. Ed is aware that Cathy will be announced the deputy regional administrator and start on Sept 5. In addition to that, Cathy will be announced the principal deputy regional administrator and so will be the action regional administrator until an RA is selected.
We are really looking forward to these new additions of RA throughout the country over the next two months. I appreciate you getting together.
Ryan.
