I guess the question will become clearer when seeing the calculations in the Excel sheet but I was wondering how the PFAS emission rate can be only 26% of use per year in average when you consider that even when the foams are used in training with good bunding efficacy all these collected fire waters are sent to WWTP assumed to have 0 or very poor efficacy for PFAS, i.e. most of the PFAS are released in the environment (which makes sense to me). In other words, why is it only 26% if basically all types of uses of PFAS foams lead to almost full emission in the environment (even the collected and "treated" fire waters/foams).
How would the emission rate would look like if instead of looking at the annual release rate you would consider the PFAS emission rate for a given amount of foam over its lifespan?
