The Honorable Chris Wright Secretary, United States Department of Energy 1000 Independence Ave, SW Washington, DC 20024
Dear Secretary Wright:
On behalf of the Edison Electric lnstitute's (EEi's) Board of Directors, I am pleased to invite you to address EEi 's Fall Board of Directors and Chief Executive Meeting, which will be held September 2-4, 2025, at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, CO.
EEi's member companies- America's investor-owned electric companies- are committed to delivering the affordable, reliable, and secure energy that powers our nation's economy. We look forward to working with the Department of Energy to advance public policies and regulations that benefit our customers and meet their growing and evolving needs for electricity. Our industry CEOs and our audience would appreciate learning more about your priorities for DOE and your views on a range of energy-related issues.
As a planning matter, we anticipate that this would be a 45-minute fireside chat, ideally on Wednesday morning, September 3, from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. MDT. We also have other opportunities on Wednesday and on Thursday morning, September 4, and are happy to work with your team to identify a time that best accommodates your schedule. EEi's Board meetings are invitation-only and are closed to the media. We expect 250 senior executives from our industry will attend, including about 50 CEOs from EEi's Board.
Thank you for your consideration, and we look forward to your favorable reply. Should
your team have any questions, please ask them to contact Stephanie Vayda, EEi's Senior
Vice President of Communications and Member Engagement, at (b) (6)
or
svoyda@eei.org.
Sincerely,
