The upper thread-fourths o f th shield has a c y lln d r ic a lly shaped fla n g e fo r d e fle ctin g along the sides o f the-un it any steam th a t might escape, as when a bladder ruptures. The lower fo u r th of--the shield is shaped lik e a depending trough to c a r r y su ch steam's condensate down to the flo o r drain b e n eath the u n it. - Also* and most important o f a l l , the shield Lb so designed th a t, when I t is properly positioned and held in p l a c e , i t energises h micro' switches that are wired in s e r ie s to theAtlmar Start* button. Beginning with a l l lig h ts out on the control panel, the operator sta r ts Step 1- by. pressing the Load* button which con tro ls valves to produoa a.vacuum Inside the u n it, and thus operates a pressure switch to turn on a green l i g h t , in d ic a tin g th e unit is rady.-'for loading as long as the l i g h t i s o n .
