L. Konzen, Chairman Dr. L. B. Grant R. S..Atkinson A. W. Johnson C. L. Scheckier J. M. Barnhart 0-C PPG 0-C C/SG J-M NIMA 1969 FIBROUS GLASS U. of C. STUDY "Fibrous Glass Lined Ventilation Systems" was reviewed in detail. It was agreed that the paper, should be changed to one of defense to one of offense. The specific changes are to be discussed with Dr. W. Clark Cooper. PROTOCOL FOR 1970 U. OF C. STUDY "Fibrous Particles in Ambient Air", dated 3/9/70, war. reviewed and approved by the Committee. "Occupational Exposures to Fibrous Glass: II Sheet Metal Workers", dated 3/13/70, was reviewed in detail. It was agreed to hold in abeyance until .such time the "Asbestos Workers Report" can be reviewed. KETTERING REPORT J. Choiak and L. Schafer of Kettering Laboratories were present during the latter part of the discussions on this subject. J. M. Barnhart reported the comments received from the Duct Systems Committee. It was the consensus that the settled duct studies should remain in order to substantiate the thoroughness of the overall study. It was agreed by all present that the report with minor changes, should stand. J. Cholnk and L. Schafer .wore urged to publish the repott"in the "Arch!ves of 1 tulus ir 1 a l 1K\; 1 ; h" . l 2- - OTHER BUSINESS 1. J. M. Barnhart signed the 1970 U. of C. grant in the .amount of $33,000.00. 2. It was brought to the attention of the Committee that the Navy had deleted amosite asbestos pipe insulation from MI'L-I-769 Std. The Committee was advised by Dr. L. B. Grant that there is no reason for NIMA to consider the problem at this time. 3. It was agreed not to support the U. of C. study as proposed to Pabco.
