Because this article, appearing in an important technical journal, is so inaccurate, irresponsible and Apparently inspired, the Asbestos Textile institute, oi which *e art members, made an investigation with McGraw-Hill -- who hav* since xpressed regret at the article's publication, explaining that the article was produced by an inexperienced reporter who apparently explored one side of the problerr (with Dn. Seillkoff and Cfaur$). McGraw-Hill have Indicated embarrassment that the article was not proparly checked by sealer editorial members, but, in any ease, they have published two letters In rebuttal. I enclose these letters by M*. Roger Hackney of Johns ManvUU, and Dr. M. C. Brown of the Public Health Service, which were published in the October 6 Issue of 'Chemical Week*.
