jjeur Jr. Aohoe, , . I recently visited the v'orks of r.3 iguiibriage
Instrument Company at Cambridge. in uneir Laboratory I vias shown a develo .-nent which they are undertaking on an instrument colled, the Polarograpii. nupai'aiitiy this is a rapid method of determining metallic elements in solutions in very minute concentrations, doom 1 believe to the order of one part ;sr million, r m afraid I know nothing of the principles oxcart th- : it appears to be electrolytic rnu :.nd the resuits appear to be plotted automatically on a photographic chir-t. dhe method certainly seemed to be applicable for be control of lame numbers of different samples.
I just wondered if you. are likely to oe interested in this instrument in which case I will get the Cambridge people to send me as much information as they can when it approaches the commercial stage, that is after they Lave concluded their period of development work.
Sincerely yours,
