Process and Quality Analysis A 2-month experiment in Solid Aroclor to verify the computer study reported in July has demonstrated a 47. Improvement in yield worth $40.000 annually. The process will be stabilized at this point until new instrumentation is completed, then will be optimized by further study. The controlling variable in Methyl Intermediate still yield was found to be operator manipulation of heat input. A superior pattern of heat control was recommended. Potential savings are estimated to be $79.000 annually. Final optimization of stills is planned when programmed steam controls are Installed. There are no apparent correlations between PNC& quality and the present reactor depressurization problem. Liquid Aroclor 1. Three informal customer complaints were received concerning the quality of Aroclor blends. These complaints were partially caused by the in corporation of several used lease cars in to the electrical grade Aroclor tank car fleet. 2. G.
