B.M.D. STAFF. As a result of our recent acquisi
tion of the Bradford Rockwool companies and Masonite Holdings Ltd., and the consequent substantial expansion in the B.M.D. activities, two new senior appointments have been made in the B.M.D.
Mr. C.H. Broadhurst who is a director of A.B.A. Ltd. and of the C.S.R. owned plaster companies in Perth will combine with these duties control of the C.S.R. company's interests in the Bradford Rockwool companies. The Rockwool companies and
A.B.A. Ltd. will be known as the Mineral Fibres Section of the Building Materials Division and Mr. Broadhurst will be responsible for this Section. He will take up these new duties as Manager, Mineral Fibres Section in B.M.D. Head Office Sydney early in January I960.
Mr. Broadhurst's duties in Perth will be taken over by Mr. P.C. Thomas who has been appointed General Superintendent for 4.B.A. Ltd. and Director of the plaster companies in Perth.
A fibreboard Section of Building Materials Division has also been formed, comprising the Cane-ite and Timbrock factories at Pyrmont and the new factories being built at Oberon (particle board) and Bacchus Marsh (Timbrock hardboard) and the Factorite Factory.
j Mr. A.V. Shaw will be Manager of the Fibreboard
..S.SQ.$ion and will also act as the company's liaison officer with Masonite Holdings Ltd. As a result of Mr. Shaw's transfer `/i .p_ these new duties Mr. J.H. Matthews has been appointed Manager of the Bacchus Marsh Timbrock Hardboard project.
