Specifically, we can provide the survey design for dosimetry and noise conturing, and in most cases provide the manpower to accomplish the surveys. I am currently attempting to obtain approval for capital funds to purchase dosimeters. I need to determine survey needs for the next year and the equipment the plants currently have. Please provide me with the following by July 18. 1. Anticipated Survey Needs: A. Dosimetry - process units, etc. B. Conturing - updating areas with changed processes, modified equipment, or full contour, etc. C. Current equipment - dosimeter and sound level meter type and number you now have. Fogg, LCLAB Plant, Westlake February 25, 1986 NOISE SURVEYS - NOISE DOSIMETRY VISTA I have discussed the problem of noise surveys and noise dosimetry s with the Safety Directors of the Vista Chemical Plants. As you know, those services were provided by Conoco before the separation of Conoco and Vista Chemical Company. The Safety Directors agreed that a continuing need for this service exists and will continue to exist. The general consensus is that the resources and equip ment are not available in the plants to satisfy that need. There was general agreement that each plant would support the concept of this service being provided by your organization. The alter native to this would be to have those services provided by a contract consultant which would result in significant expenditures.
