GENERAL CONSTRUCTION:
Except as noted elsewhere in this Procedure under the heading "DESCRIPTION," the cable described in this Procedure is constructed in accordance with the requirements of the Standard for Thermoplastic Insulated Underground Feeder and Branch-Circuit Cables.

MARKING:
The wires and cables described in this procedure shall be marked in
accordance with the requirements of the Standard for Thermoplastic-Insulated
Underground Feeder and Branch-Circuit Cables, except as modified elsewhere in
this Procedure.

Sunlight Resistant Cable - This manufacturer is authorized to mark on Types UF and UF-B cable, by means of surface or imprinting on the jacket, the legend "Sunlight Resistant" and a tag mark bearing the same legend if this manufacturer employs a PVC compound which appears on the latest issue of ^Underwriters Laboratories Inc., Bulletin, Subjects 83, 493, 854, 127? and 1569.
If the individual conductors are of copper-clad aluminum, the size of the
conductor wherever it appears (on tags, reels or the surface of the product),
shall be followed by "AL (CU-CLAD)". .
COMPOUND IDENTIFICATION BY MANUFACTURER:
While in the process of manufacture, prior to the application of labels, the wires described in this Procedure shall be identified with a tag or shop order so that the Laboratories' representative can determine what compound has been used for insulation. Either a factory code available to the representative or the actual compound designation may be used.
MANUFACTURER'S IDENTIFICATION: One of the following methods of identifying the manufacturer may be used:
1. One black and one white marker threads, or
2. -Manufacturer's name, trade name or "E26211" surface marked or indent printed.
