Gill in recognition of his services as president of the company. The station is part of Kansas Gas and Electric Company's expansion program to meet increased load demands of the Wichita and southeast Kansas region. Kansas Gas and Electric has been oper ating since 1910, during which time its list of customers has grown from 3502 to 145,000.
