This is the same process that came to our attention through Mr. Hogarth two or three years ago, and the same which was brought to his notio* by Mr. Richardson, who is an acquaintance of this Mr. Llewellyn. The last time I was in New York I met by appointment at the hotel,Mr. Llewellyn. That was before the receipt of any of these papers. I explained to him how little interest we feel in all new lead process** for the reason that hardly one of them had ever turned out a success, but also told him that so far aa so could do so without undue ex pense we would gladly look into any now thing that sosmod to have premie* in it. About the only additional faots beyond shat is given in the accompanying paper*, 1* 1 that the patentee is a worthless fellow, now in this country, and so very poor that he cannot afford to take out of bond one small keg of dry lead which came from abroad ae a sample of his process.
