As a result of our discussion I would like to re-emphasize the following points: 1. 1 understand your interest in attempting to remove all Asbestos from your products. However, in the interim you should seriously consider installing local exhaust ventilation on the dry texture bagger. As you know, we found the present local exhaust to be totally inadequate on one of the baggers. Continue to provide the operator on the dry texture bagger with cover alls. This is required to prevent the worker from bringing Asbestos home on his clothing. Continue to emphasize that all operators must wear appropriate dust masks when dumping materials. Enforce a work rule prohibiting the use of air hoses to blow off dust particles from workers clothing. This practice significantly increases the amount of Asbestos in the air. Enforce the rule that all workers must wash at the completion of this shift in order to prevent mixing asbestos with their food at lunch time.
