1. Place 10 mg. of solid or 0.1 mb of undiluted liquid into one conjunctiva], sac of each of two rabbi.ts and close eyelids.
2. Twenty (20) seconds after instillation one eye is washed with tap water for one (l) minute. The other eye is not washed.
3- The untreated eye of each rabbit is used as a control,
4. A second pair of rabbits is similarly treated with the test material as a 10$ solution or suspension in propylene glycol.

6. The examinations 'at one (l) and four (4) hours are to be done with the aid of fluroescein stain.
Report
These studies are to- be reported separately using the short DuPont format, They are to be reported individually as soon as each compound has been tested..
Part II - The following mixtures are to he prepared according to the instructions below and tested for acute eye irritation:
fit/
Mixture 1 - Mix 20 parts by volume of A (ll 5931, LH NO. 12,52?A) with 20 parts R (}I 5932, LB No. 12,5.28a ) and 1-55 parts of C (H 5933, JB No. 12,529Aj.. Increase volume of ABC Mixture by 10$ with D (II 5934, LH No. 12,53'OA) and let stand for 30 minutes before using.
Mixture 2 - Mix 6.9 parts by weight of A (H 5935, IB No, 12,531A) with 2.67 parts of B (H 5936, LH No, 12,532A) arid 0.43 parts of C (PI 5937, LH No. I2,53.3A) ,
Mixture 3 Mixture 4
Mix 1 part by volume of A (PI 5938, LH No, 12,534A) with 1 part. B (II 5939, LH .No.. 12,,535A) and let stand 30 minutes before using.
Mix 1 part by volume of A (H 5940, LH No. 12,536a ) with 1 part B (PI 5941, LH No, 12,537A), Let stand 1 hour and thin 10$ with C (pi 5942, I,H No. 12,538a ) solvent.
Mixture 5 - Mix 10 volumes of A (ll .5943, LH No. 12,539A) with 1 volume of B (ll 5944, LPI No. 12,540A); agitate during mixing.
Mixture 6
Mix 7,1 parts by weight of A (PI 5945, LH No. 12,f,4lA)........ with 2.35 parts of B (II 5946, LH Ho. 12,542a ) and O.55 parts of C (U 594?, LH No, 12.,543-A).
Mixture 7 - Thin A (H 5944', LH No, I2,544A) 15$ by volume with B (H5949, LH No. I2,545A).
.Experimental Procedure
These mixtures are to be tested according to the procedure described in Part I with the exception that four (4) rabbits will, be used to test the
undiluted mixture. Also these mixtures will not be tested as 10$ solutions in propylene glycol.
