The Carbide Employees Federal Credit Union will observe the same holidays so plan to conduct your business through Wednes day, November 25 by 5 p.m. CARBIDE Last Wednesday morning, November 11, Union Carbide's Texas City Plant hosted members of the "Fourth Estate" for a press briefing where Plant Mananager DAMON ENGLE, Gulf Coast Medical Director Dr, DAVID GLENN, and Corporate Epiodaniologist Dr. SUSAN AUSTIN, shared the results of Union Carbide's Mortality Study and Case Control Study which have now been completed, .'.'studies which indi cate that Union Carbide employees at Texas City have enjoyed better than average health. The overall Incidence of death has been significantly less than the national average as have been deaths due to all forms of ma lignant cancer and circulatory, res piratory, and digestive diseases," Engle informed the visitors.
