Williams, 512 September 12, 1980 IH/EP Asbestos Exposure Monitoring Gentlemen; Asbestos monitoring in the SEVIN operations area on Septem ber 3, 1980 showed an air concentration of 0.1 fiber per cc which is well below the present OSHA standard. Six samples of breathing zone air were taken on Messrs. D. R. Smith, J. F. Sampson and P. D. Coyner. Due to an error in analyti cal procedure only one valid sample, that for Mr. Smith, was obtained. Since all the recommended procedures for stripping asbestos-containing insulation were followed it is felt that the 0.1 result obtained represents the breathing air concentration in the ambient air. Please give the people sampled the results. The actual sam pling was done by members of Fred William's Industrial Hygiene group at Institute.
