Install an exhaust hood on the V-ll and V-12 recovery systems. A work order has been written to change the temperature transmitter range oh one line in V-12. * The tower will be completed 11/15. Reactor Cleaning System for V-11. * n fc n Modifications to the BFG HRC unit in V-12. Repair leaks on all compressors. A Stop leaks on VCM unloading valves. Reduce the VCM lost to the atmosphere from the rail car liquid unloading line. i Replace Manhead in V-ll. Status t This will be done during the D-500/600 shutdown. < The piping has been completed and the tie-ins will be made during D-500/600 shutdown. Evaluation of the Vinatex unit has been completed. A design and cost estimate is being prepared to purchase a similar unit. The pump installation for V-ll will be completed 11/22. A boot to repair the leaks did not work A new seal has been designed and is ready to try. Modification to the HRC length has been completed. * Additional information has been trans mitted to MED for their study. Honeywell instrument for continuous monitoring. ' Reduce the residual VCM in the large reactor resin after recovery. t Status Materials on order. The project >. completion date will be 1/75. * % A program for steam stripping the large reactors will be set up during Novejnber. This program will be based on the large reactor steam stripping results from Oklahoma City. Install a remote system to monitor the level in all resin silos. The evaluation has been completed and AFE will be nrenared. 1, i1 Recycle system for sifter overflow to prevent rehandling of trailings and reduce exposure on first floor. The evaluation of a hopper for the fine overflow system has been completed and hoppers will be made up for each of the remaining dryers over the next two months. The type of coarse overflow handling system will be designed based on the exposure results being monitored during November. Evaluation of residual VCM in the finished bulk resin. Further testing of steam stripped j*esm V will be conducted during November to evaluate the effect of increasing stripping temperature to 210F. Ventilation improvements in both ware house buildings and compress warehouse. Continued education of employees on the hazards of VCM and the importance of following procedures.
