Dear George:
This confirms my telegram of April 5, 1973 concerning your letter of March 19 and the results of the April 4 meeting in Washington of the Technical Task Group on Vinyl Chloride Research.
B.F.Goodrich Chemical Company is agreeable to the proposed addition to the animal study budget of $15,000 for the food, water and bedding exposure of an additional 100 rats at the maximum concentration. We understand that our present pro rata share of this budget is now 17.6% or less, depending on the contributions of British Petroleum who has recently joined the group. Our cost for this study, in any case, should not exceed our original commitment.
With respect to the epidemiological study, B.F.Goodrich Chemical Company commits for its pro rata share of the estimated maximum cost of $92,340. The maximum cost of our support for this work should not exceed $16,290 as indicated in your letter of March 19.
We encourage prompt initiation of this work and will cooperate with
Tabershaw-Cooper Associates by making our employment records available
at our production plants. TCA should look to our Mr. Dennie L. Dowell,
Manager of Safety, at this office, to make arrangements for their
Visits and to answer questions concerning selection of the populations/
for the-study.
