Hayley and Millan -- I'm in the office tomorrow, but out on Friday. As our event at the Newseum is next Tuesday, should we touch base tomorrow to see if this indeed works on the Administrator's calendar? Perhaps a call at 9:30, 10:30 or 11 am tomorrow to touch base? If yes, let me know which number I should call to reach you. Or, you can call me this evening on my cell at 202-309-3628. Many thanks, Duane Sent from my iPhone On Sep 27, 2017, at 5:04 PM, Letendre, Daisy <letendre.daisy@epa.gov> wrote: Thank you so much, Duane. EPA ED_001523B_00001867-00001 Subject: Follow-Up from RER -- Invite for Our Oct 3 Lunch Meeting Hello Daisy - It was great to speak to you earlier. Following up on our earlier conversation, we really appreciate Administrators Pruitt's invitation to participate in the Smart Sectors strategy and RER would be delighted to join the partnership. Thank you. Also as discussed, while we can't unfortunately make the 3 pm launch event @ EPA, if Administrator Pruitt's schedule could accommodate, we'd be honored to have him address our meeting briefly (15-20 minutes) at around 12:30 pm -12:45 pm. The meeting will be held just up the block from EPA, at the Newseum, @ 6th St. and Pennsylvania Ave. Our anticipated attendees, and working agenda, are attached. The attendees will include familiar names to the Administration and encompass some of the top real estate CEOs and other senior executives in the nation. If we can make it work, our Board member and Chairman of our Sustainability Committee -- Tony Malkin, the CEO of Empire State Realty Trust - would introduce the Administrator with some short opening remarks. It would then be a great opportunity for Mr. Pruitt to talk about the Smart Sectors strategy for about 15 minutes and other priorities for EPA perhaps leaving time for an audience question or two. The Oct 3 meeting is closed press. If this works out, I will also then follow up with information for any security detail. Looking forward to hearing back from you - and collaborating going forward. Adm Pruitt Invite Duane, 17cv1906 Sierra Club v. EPA ED_001523B_00001867-00003 Thank you for calling me back yesterday and sorry I've taken so long to respond! Attached is some more information about the EPA Smart Sectors Program, and below is the invitation to the launch event. Let me know if The Real Estate Round Table is interested in joining the partnership and participating in the event. On behalf of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt, I would like to invite Jeff DeBoer to attend the launch of EPA's Smart Sectors Program. The event will be held at 3:00 PM on October 3, 2017, at EPA Headquarters in the William Jefferson Clinton North Building in the Green Room. Through our collaborative partnership, Smart Sectors will demonstrate measurable results for the environment and the economy by building relationships and improving customer service to your sector; developing additional expertise in your industry's operations and environmental performance; and informing the planning of future policies, regulations, and agency processes. We hope Jeff will join Administrator Pruitt for the Smart Sectors launch and ask that you RSVP to me (letendre.daisy@epa.gov) by September 22, 2017 if possible. If you or Tony are unable to attend, please feel free to share this invitation with another member of your association's leadership. In addition to the launch event with Administrator Pruitt, we will be publishing a Federal Register notice announcing the program. I hope to see you in October. As always, don't hesitate to reach out with any question or concerns. All best, 17cv1906 Sierra Club v. EPA ED_001523B_00001867-00004 Daisy C.
