B&W CENTRAL-STATION BOILERS
High-duty cemral-jrarlon boilers, manufactured by B&W since 1B81, ire available la a wide variety of deslgns-either slag-tap or dry bottom. Befog unrestricted as to capacity, steam characteristics, or method of firing, B&W engineers can recommend the unit that best meets individual customer requirements. High availability with tow operating and meinteaence costs, charocrerisrs B&W Installations in the nation's largest power plants. The upper B&W Radiant Boiler Illustrated Is one of two, each producing for one public utility 1,100,000 lb of ttm - per hr at a pressure of 2123 pti with steam temperature of 1030 F and reheat to 1000 F. The units have pressure furnaces and are equipped with nve B&W Cyclone Furnaces.
The lower boiler shown is a Radiant Boiler wjth'o divided, dry-bottom furnace. Steam capacity la 930,000 lb per hr at 1730 pti and 1000 P, with reheat to 1000 P, it it pu}rerired-co*l'6ced and uses 4 B&W Type BL Pulverisers.
THE STIRLING 2-DRUM BOILER
This unit is available for capacities to 230.000 lb of steam per hr with the boiler, furnace, and fuel-burning equipment coordinated to provide rhe best over-all performance and economy with any fuel. Stoker-fired standard units have been especially successful, with spacing of tubes in boiler bank and single-pass gas flow contributing to excellence in steaming and freedom from ash fouling, even at high ratings. Attemperetors provide a reliable control of steam temperature. Peok load demands, and sudden load swings can be met over unusually wide ranges-Simplic ity of construction assures low maintenance, while easy accessibility to any part of the boiler permits quick inspection.and cleaning. The low draft loss of this unit often permits use of existing stacks and saves power wiih on induced-draft /an.

B&W INTEGRAL-FURNACE BOILERS
To make the performance-proved advantages of the B&W IntegralFurnace Boiler araiiabte for any steam requirements In the raose between 2800 to 330,000 lb per hr, aod for all fuel conditions, B&W has available five distinct types of Integral-Furnace Boilers. These units embody Installation, operating, and maintenance features that provide high boiler efficiency, long-term availability, continuity of service, and
overall economy. Since the introduction of the original Integral-Furnace Boiler in
1933, these compact, water-cooled-furnace units have won wide accept ance from industrial, commercial, and utility users. They provide maxi mum capacity in small boiler-room space; high fuel economyj smokeless combustion; and economical, fast steaming. These boilers produce clean, dry steam at all ratings with quick response to wide loss twings adnedanaraenadvaairlaebaledawpittahboler twoitthhoeutmsousptearhdevaatnetrasg. eTohuessemuenthitosdaroefefaisriyngto.
The Type FH Is the largest of B&W's Integral-Furnace series ofboilers with capacities ranging to 330,000 lb of steam per hr and pressures to 1030 pti. Available with either hopper-bottom or fiat floor, these units are extensively used for Bring with pulverised coal, oil, and gas, singly
or In combination. The Type PF Integral-Furnace Boiler provides capacities from 8000
to 30,000 lb per hr at pressures up to 600 psi. It is widely used with
itoker, oil, and gas firing. Newest member of the B&W Integral-Furnace Boiler family la the
