Progress Note Monday, August 9, 1937 2:30 p.m. Telephone call from Dr. Cannon. Dr. Cannon reports: Friday, August 6, 1937 Better. Was quiet all day and slept 7 hours in the night. Saturday, August 7. 1937 Was somewhat worse and exhibited increased excitement and mental depression for 2 periods of from 15 to 20 minutes each, in the morning and the afternoon, respectively. Sleep was satisfactory Saturday night. Sunday, August 8, 1937 Periods of excitement were evident for 2 or 3 hours in the morning, the remaining of the time patient appeared normal. Monday, August 9, 1937 Has been much better. Manifested slight excitement for a few minutes in the morning. For the past 3 days patient has been allowed the privilege of walking about the hospital in the company of his nurse and the mental outlook has improved considerably. Beginning Monday night 5 grains of KI, t.i.d. has been prescribed. The response to paraldehyde has improved. Present dosage is 4- cc p.r.n. Johnston Has continued at work with no recurrence of symptoms.
