Mr. Wheeler's substantial public service experience focused on environmental policy make him an excellent choice to help lead EPA. IPAA has specific experience working with Mr. Wheeler since his Committee on Environment and Public Works subcommittee role with then-Senator George Voinovich and throughout his subsequent full Committee staff roles with Senator James Inhofe. He has a deep understanding of the issues facing EPA from these experiences and his earlier employment at the agency. He has a proven history as a sound and responsible public servant and will bring these attributes back to EPA. Confirming Mr. Wheeler would set EPA on path towards greater implementation of the "Back-to-Basics Agenda." As such, IPAA urges the Senate to approve this nomination. Sincerely, Barry Russell President & CEO cc: Members of the U.S. Senate INDEPENDENT PETROLEUM ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA 1201 15TM STREET, NW SUITE 300 - WASHINGTON.
