Statistical Evaluation: The 7-day LCs; value and 95% confidence interval `were calculated by binomial probability. The 14-day element values were determined using the moving average method.

When determining the concentrationofthe test substance in the samples, the same and most prominent peak response for perfluorooctanesuifonate was used. Noattemptwas made to quaniify on the basisof individual isomeric components.
On Day 14, following observations and body weight determination, all surviving worms from each treatment group were placed on moistened fhioltuerrsp.apTehreawnodramlslowweerdettohpeunreguetthhaeniirzgeudt cboynftreenetzsinfgoraanpdprsotxoirmeadtferloyze24n. priorto analysis. The LOQs (imitsof quaniitation) in soil and earthworms were 29.3 and 50.0 mg/kg, respectively, in this study. The mean percent recovery of matrix fortifications analyzed concurrently during sample analysis was 87.3% in the soil and 86.6% in the earthworm tissue. Soil `samples collected at test initiation had measured values from 78.1% to 98.6%of nominal. Measured values for samples taken on Day 14 ranged from 87.5 to 103%ofnominal.
