I have not heard from you since our meeting in New York and am wondering whether you understand that I am engaging to provide you with $5000 a year for the next two years to go on with your lead work. Will you let me know what your plans are and when you are going to need part of this money ? Yours very truly, (Signed) Clinton H. Crane. President. N41861.02 FEB 261926 1 JOSEPH C. AUB, M. D. CONSULTATIONS BY APPOINTMENT February 25, 1926 nr bnviQ md. sail Farvard Medical School Longwood Ave. Boston, Aass, My dear hr. 3d sail: My understanding of the lead fund, v/as that it was given for t>e study of lead poisoning without any strings at tached, and that the additional 05000.00 was given on the same basis as the original money, so that I think it would be perfectly justifiable to use it for such a trip as the Spray Painting Commit tee. It is certainly a thing the manufacturers are probably more interested in anyhow as it is distinctly a practical matter, I therefore assume that you'think it is per fectly proper for me to use some of it for this trip.
