The emergency alarm was activated and some confusion resulted as to whether a general evacuation was required. As a result, our emergency procedure will be revised as follows: Any time the emergency alarm is sounded, all contractors and plant departments except compound, dry blend and plasticizer will immediately follow the evacuation plan. Compound, dry blend and plasticizer personnel will await instructions from their supervisor unless the emergency involves a fire.
