Dear Bob:
Having heard nothing definite about the Cummings Yemorial Lecture at the April meeting of our combined associations, I am a bit con cerned about its status. I would be extremely sorry if it were not to be given and I believe that there are quite a few others who would feel likewise. A worof'assurance on this would be welcome .
Though in a sense rather far from the beaten path, I feel myself quite otherwise here in other respects and you may be sure that I am finding my new surroundings delightfully congenial. I hope that 1946 is proving equally satisfactory to you.
Sincerely yours
Field Director
