I began by introducing myself and thanking the committee for giving the consortium the opportunity to update them on the study. One of the members was new to the GCSP, so I gave a very brief description of the study. I noted that we had worked through some challenges this year including a budget increase and executing new contracts with the principal investigators and that we were looking forward to a successful conclusion to the study. Talking Points: 1. All contracts, with the exception of Fudan University and the QAlQC contractor, have been executed. Noted that the QAlQC contractor should be executed soon. Reported that Dr. Otto Wong was getting what he needed from Fudan, so that the lack of an executed contract did not seem to be impeding the work. Also noted Dr. Fu Hua's confirmation that Fudan was providing the services and that the lack of a contract was not interfering. 2. Sufficient funds to support the revised budget have been committed by the 5 sponsors. o One sponsor will not be paying any of their committed funds until all contracts are executed. Sufficient monies available for short term. Noted that sponsor will honor commitment to pay share. 3. To date, all milestones are being met and all payments are being made. o Some discussion of scope of reimbursable expenses in Cinpathogen contract. a. Includes both corporate expenses and receipts Some discussion of payments, but no follow-up was requested. 4. The QAlQC process is functioning.
