RUEHL - WAYNESBORO DEPARTMENTAL ASBEST.I MEETING ' Some recent court decisions regarding certain provisions of the OSHA asbestos standard, the departmental move to go to soft insulation and interplant variance in the administration of asbestos compliance programs has prompted a need to consider whether we should more precisely standardize our approach to asbestos control. Consequently a_ departmental asbestos meeting is being considered for some time in the early fall o'f^this year. The purpose of this meeting will be to share our ideas, concerns, and questions regarding the. administration of asbestos control programs, and hopefully emerge with, a bejtter understanding of asbestos regulations and a more uniform approach to control. This will be a group effort relying on premeeting preparation by participant to research, prepare, and lead discussions on portions of the agenda. Each attendee will be asked to: (1) Help prepare the agenda of topics to be discussed. 7 (2) List questions which need addressing on each agenda item. (3) State topics they are willing to lead the discussion on. () State which topics they have information on that may help in the discussion of that topic.
