Re: Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization Meeting Req for Tuesday, March 20 and Wednesday, March 21, at 2
pm
Dear Nancy,
Thank you so much for your email.
I wrote Derrick four times yesterday, but my mails went into his spam folder. You and your staff were also on my cancelation email yesterday which I've pasted it below.
Derrick and I spoke on the phone this morning. ADAO and all joint meeting attendees would like to reschedule our national in person meeting.
When do you expect to finalize the Problem Formulation Document? That date determines when we reschedule the next meeting as it is essential and monumentally important that we meet with you before the document is finalized.
We are looking forward to meeting with you. What a first day of spring!
Thank you.
Linda Reinstein

It is critically important to us, the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization, AFL-CIO, American Public Health Association OSH Section, International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers, and Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families, that we meet with you before the EPA finalizes the Problem Formula Document.
We would like to discuss the Scape ofthe Risk Evaluationfor Asbestos document that presently excludes legacy use and the Libby Amphibole from the risk evaluation, and also new contaminated products that are being distribution in commerce.
We are m the process of polling our March 21 attendees for an alternate meeting date; however, it the EPA plans to finalize the Problem Formula Document before April 7, we would like to schedule a phone meeting to discuss these important issues that are and will continue to impact public health and the environment.
Sincerely,
Linda Reinstein

Good Afternoon Linda, As I'm sure you are aware the Federal government is shut down today. However many (like myself) are working remotely. We could potentially have a teleconference instead of an in person meeting, although in person is typically preferred. My understanding is that Derrick reached out to you this morning but has not heard back yet. I presume that we will cancel the meeting. However, if you would like us to make everyone available for a 1:30 teleconference please let me know by lpm. Otherwise Derrick will work with you to reschedule.
Regards, Nancy
