Dear Mr. Mitchell:- You will remember our discussing the non-medical coverage granted under our EL- 2555 to the above named assured, General Asbestos & Rubber Company. I efrected settlement with the above named claimant in the amount of $800.00, and I am attaching hereto copies of the releases, which are self-explanatory. You will note that the basis of settlement was on the grounds of $100.00 for operation, hospitalization, etc. and $100.00 for loss of wages, permanent disability, pain and suffering and punitive damages and all other damages. Sines in my discussion with this claimant at the time of settlement he was making claim tor the operation fee and intends to be operat ed upon I think that your client, our assured, should contribute $100.00 to wards this settlement, and I feel that this settlement with the claimant in the amount of $800.00 is very favorable to both our interests. I am informed by our Agency here, that the General Asbestos St Rubber plant here received a very good rating, and in lieu of non-medical coverage, received also a hirthsr reduction of 13# to 15# on the pranium,and I think you will agree that there is an element of consideration in volved that warrants seme payment by this assured.
