Results of the monitoring showed no exposure problems. This finding supports historical data. An environmental project to recover process vents and bum them in the Thermal Heat Recovery Oxidizer (THROX) will be completed in 1989. This will significantly reduce hydrocarbon emissions in the Louisiana Division. A noise survey was conducted in November. The average noise level for the block was 81.5 dB which was essentially the same as last year's average. Asbestos containing material is being removed as work on equipment is being conducted. Sealless pumps were installed in the PDC system. This will reduce exposure to personnel and reduce spills from seal leaks. In 1989, a noise survey and sampling for propylene oxide, DCIPE, carbon tetrachloride and- propylene dichloride, epichlorihydrln. p^/chloroethyjfpe will be conducted.
