Section I - INTRODUCTION Purpose of inspection EPA Region 6 inspector Kent Sanborn arrived at the WWW Oil Company oil and gas facility at 3:00 pm on 03/31/2021 for an inspection of a lease that has had a discharge in the past. There were no facility representatives present at the site. The inspection was conducted under the authority of the Clean Water Act (CWA) to assess a previously reported spill from a brine disposal facility. The scope of the inspection is to assess unauthorized discharges and impacts of nearby water resources under the CWA.
Facility Description The facility is a brine and injection well facility and was previously known as the "Watchman-Schroeder, Inc. (Whitetail-Stuart Lease)" facility.
Section II - OBSERVATIONS I had the following observations during the inspection: The secondary containment pit at the facility was full of fluids with oil on top. The pit was not seeping and was not running over. Damage from a previous spill was evident, but some restoration has taken place. A gas pump was present to keep the pit empty.
