Gardner during the period from 1937 to the date of his death, and I sent you recently a copy of ay letter to Hr. C. George Kreuger, Director of .Engineering and 8afety of the State of Mew Jersey, who was'-given a.copyof Saranac^ final report on these experiments. The pro gran was originally initiated at the instance of Johns-ManriHe Corporation and Raybestos-fenhattan,Inc. but received financial support of the various members of the asbestos textile industry whose names are enumerated in the latter to Mr. Ereuger. Although it'is contemplated that the report will be published at an early date in the Journal of Industrial Hygiene or soae comparable publication in the United States, we never theless believe that, because of our close association in Canada with others interested in the solution of the asbestos!* problem, the results of these experiments should be made avail able to then in advance of publication. Accordingly, I an pro viding you -- in your capacity as Counsel to Quebec Asbestos Minors Association -- with two copies of the report. We shall appreciate your advising the other members of the Association of our action in this particular and we will also see that you and they are advised, as soon as we know, as to when and where the report will be published. It has occurred to us also that you night wish to present a pre-publication copy to Cr. Tidal or someone con nected with the Commission and . that perhaps you might even wish to channel the offering through the Minister of Labour.
