The Benzene Health Research Consortium would like to request your assistance in hosting the upcoming Shanghai Health Study "annual" meeting scheduled for Aug 1, with an option to begin July 31 with dinner and extend to Aug 2. After discussions, we would like to invite you to host/chair the meeting with the primary focus being an opportunity for the Pis and the SRP/ERP to develop a path forward for bringing the study to a successful closure. We have confirmed with Dr. Irons and Dr. Wong that they are available on Aug 1. Rich has

indicated that he might be able to make himself available for Aug 2 also. Shell has agreed to host the meeting at the Woodlands Conference Center, The Woodlands TX. Venue is quiet secluded area about 30 minutes from Bush Intercontinental airport. Guests rooms and excellent food on site. Transportation not needed on site. We would like for the invitation to the Pis and SRP/ERP to come from you. The consortium would be there as guests/observes. API staff are ready to assist you. I tried to reach you by phone, but was not successful, so hence the email. I would like to invite you to phone for further discussion. We appreciate having your expertise and support in this work.
