We feel as the Food and Drug Administration does that there is a need for FDA and industry to discuss current regulatory policy in the area of indirect food additives, and that the creation of such an advisory committee would provide an opportunity for reaching common accord under optimum conditions. The Manufacturing Chemists Association is a non profit trade association of 184 United States ana 14 Canadian company members representing more than 90 percent of the production capacity of basic industrial chemicals within these countries.
