(1) Cast Shoe Assembly: located in the cast shoe assembly area; cast shoes are assembled; asbestos fibers may be released during handling and assembly. (2) Riveting: located in the brake shoe riveting and grinding area; brake linings are riveted to shoes; asbestos fibers may be released during handling of linings and riveting linings to shoes; brake linings are reoeived at the work area in cardboard containers and the riveted 'shoos are stacked onto pallets. (3) Grinding: located in the brake shoe riveting end grinding area; the ILnings on certain brake shoes require surface grinding; apbeatos fibers may be released during handling of shoes and grinding on linings; brake shoes are reoeived at the work area on pallets and are replaced onto pallets after grinding. fM) Baghouse Hopper Inspection and Cleanout: located adjacent to the exterior of the facility building at the close capture ventilation fabric filter baghouse; on a daily basis, a short-term duty includes inspecting the baghouse hoppers for bridging of collected dust and the plastic-lined waste drums under the hoppers for remaining capacity, and, as necessary, removing and sealing full waste drums and replacing empty drums; asbestos fibers may be released during the inspection and during the removing, sealing and replacement of drums.
