Samples 1 and 2 did not contain asbestos. Samples 3, 4, and 5 did contain asbestos. These identifications were made on the Scanning Electron Microscope i(SEM) by Dr. P. B. DeGroot. A report detailing the SEM method for asbestos [identification will be completed soon. Any additional identification of these samples such as trade names, lource, installation date, etc may be of value to me and our air monitoring Ikemists at the other Celanese Chemical Company plants. t we can be of additional help with analytical problems, let us know. ;eem R.
