Meter Control
YOUR steam generating equipment represents a sizeable investment, the return from which depends largely upon operating methods. Manual operation without meters is sure to result in waste and even with meters results are dependent upon the human element.
With a view toward obtaining a full return from their invest ment in boiler room equipment, shrewd industrialists insure safe, efficient and uniform operation with Bailey Meter Control. This system automatically maintains steam pressure at the desired standard and combustion efficiency at the highest point consistent with economical operation.
To accomplish this, induced draft, forced draft, and fuel feed are regulated to control steam pressure, furnace draft, and combustion efficiency as indicated by the Steam FlowAir Flow relation of the Bailey Boiler Meter.
Installation of Bailey Meter Control is decidedly worthwhile in any modernization program where the units are 200 h. p. or larger. Write for your copy of a reprint describing boiler plant modernization at Lee Paper Company.

The Case
The Garlock KLOZURE is extremely simple in construction, consisting o f only four pans as illustrated above.
They Now Have It-- in the
New G A R L O C K
KLOZURE
rp O retain oil and grease within a bearing and to keep dust and dirt out of the bearing is essentially a packing job.
That s why Garlock undertook the development of a truly effective Oil Seal. The result of many months of study and experimentation is the Garlock KLOZURE.
The sealing member in the Garlock KLOZURE is not leather, cork or felt. It is made from a special compound, developed in the Garlock laboratories, and molded into a shape resembling the famous Garlock Chevron packing ring.
Because of its uniform performance, its resistance to oil at
high or low temperatures and its low co-efficient of friction,
the Garlock KLOZURE is setting new high standards for
I
efficient Oil Seal performance. Write for descriptive booklet.

Two 625 H P Terry Turbines driving Boiler Feed Pumps. Steam conditions 375 lbs. 700 T. T.
BUCKETS and ROTOR -- A L L IN O N E PIECE
In the Terry Turbine the wheel is made
from a single forging of special composi
tion steel. The buckets are milled directly
in the wheel. There are no parts to be come loose or work out. Such construc iL(
\
tion makes for long life and low mainten
ance.
