Dear Senator Grassley,
I am writing in regards to a company that I have helped form called HWH Coach Inc., it is an Iowa corporation (Federal ID/EIN #56-2353095).
We will be manufacturing specialty, low production vehicle shells. For example the shells will be used as command centers for fire and police departments, mobile medical units, veteran medical units, mammogram and dental units, etcetera that can go into lower income/rural areas of the country to provide needed and necessary support. HWH Coach plans to sell these shells to other manufacturers for finishing with the customers specifications.
Below are the General Specifications:
Length 35' Width 8' 6" 3 Axles Axle weights rated for 12000 lbs each 400 HP Cummins Diesel coupled to an Allison transmission Front axle: Dana Brakes: Bendix
The axles, engine, transmission and braking system are all standard components used in truck and bus manufacturing today.
We have contacted the State of Iowa and before they can issue an MCO or MSO said we need to work with the Federal Government to get the vehicle certified. If you could help us find a contact to guide us through this process we would sure appreciate it.
Thank you for your time in this matter. We appreciate any information you can provide that will allow us to continue with our HWH Specialty Vehicle.
Sincerely, Dennis Hanser HWH Coach INC.
