Kettering Laboratories Eden Avenue Cincinnati, Ohio Dear Doctor Kehoes The following report is on Mr. 2531 East 39" Street, an employee of Willard Storage Ba^re^^orapan^since January 31, 1945. This man is a 31 year old negro, who previously worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority* Upon employment his examination showed him to weigh 142 pounds, blood pressure -- 130/80^ vision - somewhat im paired and serology - negative. His ear, nose and throat examination was negative, as were the heart and lungs. No hernia was found. He started to work in the Forming Department and first started to complain May 31, 1945* when he stated he had some nausea, headaches for three weeks and poor appetite. His weight was 134 pounds, had a lead line and smear showed cell count of four cells per fifty fields. He was next examined September 14, 1945 and his weight was 142 pounds and still complained of stomach distress, some headache and dizzi ness, The teeth still showed a lead" line and his stippled cell count was reported as ten. Check on smear on September 18, 1945 showed cell count of ten again. Ten days later his cell count was seven and he still had the original complaints and was transferred to Charging Department. On Oct ober 3, 1945 he was again checked and his bowels had not moved for three days and still had distress in the stomach. His cell count was fourteen on this date. On October 5, 1945 lead and urine samples were taken and sent to your laboratory and papers filed with the Industrial Commission aa a case of lead poisoning.
