Stone (CED) Carol Holmes (OA-15) Since I have been so quiet and meek about our present housekeeping inspections and will miss our next SHAC meeting, here is a write-up of a proposed program which no doubt can be improved upon or slashed to bits depending on your mood. I realize what a huge risk is taken putting this out on I.R.S. day when certain hostilities are peaking. However, things should be clean today since they have taken my pants as well as the shirt off my back. Remember SHAC is a nice four letter word. /jp Attach. R. V. Parker 001932 LAM003137 NEW HOUSEKEEPING PROGRAM "HERE COME THE JUDGE" 1. Inspections by 4 person teams for each group (see below), no forewarning - judgement type for overall appearance and safety (same as annual inspection as much as possible). 2. Groups to be similar type and compete against each other. Ratings are forced ranked by each inspector, points totaled and winners (and/or leaders) published. Probably have winner after two or three inspections. Recognition by: Plant News. We're No. 1 Decals or Stickers. Trophies to keep for year won, i.e. "1982 Housekeeping & Safety Champions". 3. Suggested Groups: Group I - Research I, II, III and C.L. (laboratories). Group II - AH Operating Depts. Group III - Main Office, Annex, Personnel Bldg., Matl, Handling, Offices In Research I, II and III. Group IV - Service Areas, Lockers, Safety Supply, First Aid, Fire Station, Main Gate, Warehouse, West Gate, etc. Group V - Maintenance, Shop areas, Carpenters, Boilermakers, Pipefitters, Painters, Machinists, Insulators & Laborers. Objectives: 1. Promote good consistent housekeeping and safety. 2. Promote a competitive spirit and peer pressure to keep areas neat and safety record good as measured against similar exposures.
