Medical Dept. - 512 Aifwrifig doU Svbjnat 1976 OSHA Pneumoconiosis Survey - Plant 511 This year again the Medical Department will be conducting our OSHA-required Pneumoconiosis Survey on employees at risk from asbestos and other dusts. However, instead of asking you to supply a list of employees as in the past, we are sending you a list of two groups of employees attached ; to this letter who were examined last year. There is a list of employees who have been exposed to dust for a period of 10 years or more and/or have some x-ray changes. All of these employees will be examined every year. There is a second list of employees who have lesser exposure and have been found to have normal x-rays in the last three years. This group of employees will receive their survey every two years along with their Multiphasic Health Screening. Therefore some of these employees who are due for their MHS will be done this year, and the others will get it next year, and so on. If there are any employees in the second list who think that they have more than 10 years exposure or are exposed currently to asbestos, please send them to the Medical Department and they will be included, depending on the history elicited by me. All these employees have already been notified to this effect by letter. If there are any new employees whose names do not appear on either letter but have been exposed to asbestos, please send their names with the number of years they have been exposed and we will include them on one of the two lists. The survey is expected to be started beginning the middle of February and we would like to request your cooperation in helping people get their x-rays as early aB possible after they receive their x-ray orders.
