We sure appreciate you helping San Juan County with the roadblock they had in getting a trail built. We look forward to meeting you in person at the Outdoor Recreation Summit. BLM committed to restarting their review of the trail's NEPA application beginning in July. The BLM official we spoke to stated that he would be meeting with Bluff River Trail representatives last week to share this information. Hope this helps. Is there any way you can look into their case? (Tina, Patrick Davis is the Senior Advisor in Region 8 of the EPA. I spoke with him today about your issue with getting the NEPA Permits in a less-than-timely manner.) Thanks so much, Tara Hello Tom and Tara, As you know, we have been unable to apply for grant monies from the Utah Office of Outdoor Recreation because the NEPA study for the Bluff River Trail is still not completed. Our own Debbie Westfall of Bluff City Historic Preservation Association prepared the NEPA documents for the Monticello BLM office. What needs completion is the EA which only the BLM can accomplish. This task has been complicated by staff turnover in the Monticello office. Now we are told the staff has been instructed to shelve any projects other than work on Bears Ears National Monument. Sierra Club v. EPA 18cv3472 NDCA Tier 10 ED 002061 00092090-00002 Is there any way in which we might get our project back on the table. I would hate to loose another year when we are so close to completing NEPA.
