After all the furor over Singapore, I got a call from Rhett saying wp had <hinnd 10,000 bags of Monokote all at one time and they would be buripH in Singapnro and have to rent storage. I talked to Milt and got his actual shipments and talked to Rich Carr. It wasn't as bad as Rhett was told, but still not good. I suggested Rhett send a copy of orders to Rich direct so he knew what was going on. Think shortening lines of communication should help.
The Olympia fire resulted in no structural damage to steel beams or deck. There was wire loss in the floors and some hot spots over inserts. Phil Welch wrote a news article which should be reasonably good and the Olympia papers have sent glossies. They will sand blast and respray plus some hand patching.
The Seattle Convention Center will have much exposed Monokote and they are constdering coloring it. I've requested Cambridge opinion of effect on Monokote.
The sample of Spraydon I brought back from Anchorage, that Merther and I saw, tested
out at 17.9 * 0.9 P.C.F. It was also pretty thick on the iob.

The Architect, Waldron & Pomeroy, on the Unitversitv of Washington Hospital, finally
got approval from the University to approve Monokote. I'll work more closely with Tom Howard from now on.
Don Van Wieringen of Mills. John & Riqdon has agreed to change his "no asbesto^ contaminated vermiculite" spec. He understands and is frienaly. Very 1nterested in Bituthene and receptive to GRM.
I took Andersons submittal on the GSA Spec to Walt Bishop. He agreed to review it and
if appropriate, communicate to D.C. He asked about asbestos and I requested time to
respond.
Had an hour with Gary Morris and Greg Smith of H. H. Robertson. They get Involved In
early design of buildings and shared some info with me; l.e.. Marathon Building,
Simpson Center and Century Plaza. The latter is by 3D International in Houston.
Can we get any help there?

The interstitial floor design on Travis is on hold for now. Kent Rogers of Skilling, Rogers, Ward & Barkshire favors us and I think we should prevail.

3300
Fiberchem is working on a 3,300 bag order of 3300 for almost immediate shipment but for spraying next year so the six month dating is important.
ROOF DECK
Fluke Manufacturing is delighted with the 100,000 SF ZONOLITE Roof and the similar addition will also be ZONOLITE. They are also interested in a membrane so we will have a full seance with the McKinley Group on all membrane products. Barbara Thomas is the Project Director.
The contractor on a small addition to the Skagit Jail has indicated he will seek foam approval. I've taken steps to prevent approval, or at least make It expensive to the foam contractor.
Supreme Perlite would like to furnish perlite for the chimney repair. I suggested he talk to Pat. Pat did find out the normal price for perlite concrete aggregate Is S4.5S^bag, but in large quantities would come down some but no definite price.
FOAM
We are quoting on a lot of foam but don't seem to be getting many orders. Scott and Tom Wlnkel are looking at our costing on fabricated flotation.
MEMBRANE
Met with Art Anderson and Tom Kane of ABKJ and they are very interested In Bltuthene? for miles of lidded tunnel across Mercer Island should they get the design contract. The most Important properties to them were the full adhesion and the ability to withstand a water head even though the conrete cracks.
Our roofing sales meeting will be held In Auburn. November 17 & 18, put on by Jack Rogers and Hen Sorter.
ASBESTOS
Bob Israel has been hired by INA(?) to defend us In bodily injury suits. He has asked for^ a list of pre July 1, 1973 jobs. I found a fiber count study on a KK3 job which I sent showing the maximum exposure was 1.43 fibers/cc. I believe the problem has to be with the Limpet and Cafco sprayed back then.
MISCELLANEOUS
I am oolno to oet copies of all specifications In the plan center for1f?l^P|roj|^n?* insulation, roofing and waterproofing. The cost snouilibe^iess than_|10Q/montn.
Scott Seney and I had our monthly lunch and he is very hopeful for custom molding including the "lost foam" foundry process. The cooperation is good but we need more total business.
