I attended a meeting on Wednesday o f t h is week a t the Union League Club o f a number o f representatives of the six foundry a sso cia tio n s in terested in the "Committee Report on Health Protec tio n in Sand B lasting and M etallic Abrasive Cleaning. The la te s t information is as follows: 1 - The six asso cia tio n s have appointed th eir presidents, or other executive o ffic e r , as members of a Steering Committee. 2 - The Steering Committee has appointed a Reviewing Com m ittee composed of: Mr. Jones o f Raoine, Wisconsin Mr. Elam of the American S teel Foundries Dr. Chivers of the Crane Company, Chicago Mr. C. E. Hoyt as a fourth member to head up the Committee and see that i t aots efficien tly . ' Mr. Hoyt, a fter these arrangements were made, got in touch with Mr. MoClandish and to ld him that h is Committee would be glad to I oeive any objections they had to the Technical Report, and fo r con si deration bv the Reviewing Committee.
