Weightman at Antioch , PL 4.1.0 Proj. #00022 During the recent Gypsum Association Technical Committee Meeting at Napa, it was learned that Georgia-Pacific Corporation was experiencing some difficulties with plant inspection by OSHA inspectors in regard to handling asbestos. Bill Lehnert indicated that they were being required to make some drastic airborne asbestos dust control improve ments to meet OSHA requirements. He lamented the future possible outlawed use of asbestos in joint compound manufacture if dust control measures become too expensive or impractical. They are looking for, but have not yet found, a substitute fiber for use in joint compounds. * -7 KG-0071
