Sanborn visited the Perdure Petroleum, LLC oil and gas facility located near Shidler, Oklahoma on 02/13/2020 for an unannounced inspection. There were no representatives of Perdure Petroleum, LLC present for the inspection. The inspection was conducted by authority of the Clean Water Act and the Safe Drinking Water Act to determine compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations. FACILITY DESCRIPTION This facility is known as NBU 8-2. Section II - OBSERVATIONS I observed that a produced water (brine) leak occurred into a creek near well NBU 8-2. With a calibrated YSI Pro 30 conductivity meter that reads Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), I measured approximately 15,000 milligrams per liter (mg/L) TDS at approximately 100 yards downstream from the entry point of brine into the nearby creek. The creek was dammed up and water was being pumped from the creek at the time of the inspection. Section III - AREAS OF CONCERN I observed elevated TDS in a nearby creek and a contaminated flow path from the facility to the nearby creek.
