I do not believe it practical to grind in the dry pan Oft Beil flint Clay finer than 20 to 35 aesb. I believe you should cheek to see if 20 mesh or at the finest 35 aeah would be satisfactory in brisk.
The raw O'Beil Clay costs 210,00 per tan delivered to Zelienople. rinding costs per hour at the dry pan is 2Ui3 for labor and $25*&3 for expense. The expense rate is very high due to lew volume and might be reduced to the area of 10.00 per hour at a high volume. In order to grind flint clay it will be necessary to crush it before grinding.
Under present conditions the production of 20 mesh clay would be abcut 2000 lbs per hour and 35 mesh alay about 1000 lbs. per hour. We
hope to improve these rates but it will take considerable investigation and possibly saae minor revisions to the equipment.
In view of high raw material oosts and usage in slinger operation it would appear to me the most likely way to produoe a lower eost brisk equal to A-25 would be with the Simplified Process.
