Asplundh, Vice-President Gentianen: By a letter dated October 30 1947 this Administration authorised your company, subject to certain specified qualifica tions, to enter into a three way contractual arrangement for the sale of power between Southern, Cities Service and Gulf States Utilities. In view of the present discussions between Mr. Asplundh and Mr. Cort of your Company and representatives of the Administra tion, this letter of authorisation dated Ootober 30, 1947 is amended to inolude an additional qualification with respeot to the rates and oharges for additional power. Specific reference is made to your letter of September 4 1947 in whioh you set forth certain terms and conditions tinder which this contractual arrangement will be carried out. On page 3 of that letter, paragraph $3, "Rates and Charges", there should be inserted the provision that all additional power shall be "at the rate of fifty oente (t50) per kw per month of highest demand scheduled in any monthly billing period if and when the sum of the oharges at the daily rate of five cents ($*05) per kw would exceed the charge at the monthly rate of fifty ($.50) per kw".
